The WHU has a very small data base of ex-internationals. With modern communication systems, we are looking to trawl back through records and photographs so that an information network can be set up. Memories dim steadily with age but successes and victories seem increasingly glorious! As we all came from so far apart geographically, not many personal friendships will have survived. Supporting the current international squad at home - and occasionally away - matches and tournaments will give an opportunity to catch up and share a 'sherbert' or two!!! WHERE ARE THEY NOW?? Brian Owen (seated far right) Remember
that quiet, shy, retiring North Walian? He of the remarkably short
fuse, aka 'Harry' or 'O' or indeed both, as in 'Harry O'. Brian
came down to work in Swansea for Abbey National in the late 70s
and we played together at the heart of the Swansea HC defence. Married
to Chris (sadly now separated from each other) and with 3 children
and a granddaughter, Caitlin, Brian's sport is now golf. He can
be seen most days on the course sporting his pink Neston HC socks
when it is shorts weather. A single handicapper and vice captain
of Langland Bay Golf Club, he has retired from the bank and has
a little part time number delivering wine. Old habits die hard!
